About Confirmation
St. Augustine's Confirmation program prepares 9th graders for the Sacrament of Confirmation. When teens are in 9th grade they are free to register, and begin the 7-month process. Teens must have 3-years (in succession) of previous religious education; either in Catholic school, registered home schooling, or in our Edge program.
"Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian
toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity
with the Holy Spirit... in order to be more capable of assuming the
apostolic responsibilities of the Christian life. To this end catechesis
for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church
of Jesus Christ, the universal Church, as well as the parish community."
